Why Should You Install Nest Thermostat Instead of Traditional Thermostat?

Why Should You Install Nest Thermostat Instead of Traditional Thermostat?

Do you take your thermostat for granted? Most people did until it was detected that the thermostat controls about 50 percent of the energy bill. This sounds almost incredible, right? How can this small tan box play an important role in how much we pay a utility company every month? The traditional thermostat will waste a lot of cooling energy and heating your home when there is no one. Introduced in late 2011, Nest Learning Thermostat was and remains very popular due to its easy installation and modern design. One of the most successful iPod and iPhone designers decided to work on a thermostat that became known as Nest Thermostat.

Save Energy Cost Using Nest Learning Thermostat

Learning Nest Thermostat is designed for learning. Once installed and turned on, you can turn it on whenever you are at home and turn it off whenever you leave. In just a few days, the nest will learn your schedule. If you have to leave the house unexpectedly, Auto-Away automatically turns down the thermostat for you. The nest leaves icon appears on the screen if you save energy. Changing the temperature by just one degree can save up to five percent of your energy costs. The paper screen can guide you in the right direction. Once Nest learns your schedule, changing the temperature won't affect it. However, if you change the temperature for several consecutive days, the thermostat will learn a new schedule.

How Do You Control The Nest Thermostat?

Nest thermostat can be controlled from your smartphone, tablet or laptop. First, you must connect Nest to your home wi-fi network and then download the free mobile app from Android Market or Apple's App Store. After starting the app, you can sign in with your Nest account. Once the thermostat is successfully paired with your nest calculator, you will see home and heat icons. Now you have complete remote control of cooling and heating systems. If you have two or more houses with one or more thermostats on your account, you'll see icons for all of them. Now, in winter, you can wake up to a warm house because Nest took care of the heat while sleeping. There are other environmental modifications that the nest can make to keep you comfortable 24 hours a day, seven days a week while saving money on utilities.
